As part of the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Neonicotinoids several working groups were formed to help provide additional input to the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) to address potential data gaps and misconceptions. The Mitigation Working Group was tasked with the creation of several papers and CSTA undertook the development of a paper for presentation to PMRA on why farmers choose to use seed applied technologies and in particular use neonicotinoids as a seed treatment.

CSTA commissioned Dr. Paul Mitchell and Dr. Shawn Conley of AgInfomatics, LLC to produce the paper which can be found here.
