This facilitated joint session will help determine the direction of the Seed Synergy initiative; with a focus on governance of a future National Seed Organization, and Seed Regulatory Modernization (SRM).
8:30 am - 3:00 pm Children and Youth Program, MacDonald Room F

Drop-off is available starting at 8:00 am. Continental breakfast available at 8:00 am for participants. Children 6-12 years will be departing at 8:30 am and Youth 13+ will be departing at 8:45 am. Both groups will be returning to the hotel around 3:30 pm for pick up.

Note: A waiver for the day needs to be signed by an adult.

The fireside chat will feature bestselling author Justin Kingsley. Named one of Canada’s most creative people by Marketing Magazine, Justin has turned the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises into global museum exhibitions, put a McDonald’s into the side of a mountain at a snowboarding competition, and developed award-winning communications strategies for UFC champ Georges St-Pierre and slogans for the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup.

Celebrate the evening’s theme by wearing plaid for the Lumberjack and Lumberjill show. It can get chilly on top of the mountain so please come prepared for the weather. Please meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 pm. It will take about 15 minutes to walk to the gondola and a shuttle will be available for those who prefer not to walk. Don’t forget your gondola ticket!

This session will summarize the initial public consultations, discuss the Seed Variety Use Agreement pilot program and include a panel of industry experts to highlight the difference between the three value creation models.
